Worst storm in OG&E’s history
ByKWTV News 9 in OKC just reported that the Ice Storm of 2007 is the worst storm OG&E has faced in it’s history. WOW, that’s hard to imagine! There are still 506,000 people without power in Oklahoma.
We were without power from 11:30am until 9:30pm. My mother, grandmother, many friends, church members, and staff members are still without power.
My brother’s office burned today. It was due to a tree limb breaking and taking a power line down. This caused a fire and destroyed the entire office and all of his inventory. He has insurance, but it won’t cover lost sales due to no inventory.
Craziest thing of the day…We went out to eat for dinner. Didn’t really want to eat in the dark and cold at home. On the way home we saw 3 electric transformers blow up. What an amazing light show! One was only 50 yards away.
So…we spent the next 45 minutes driving around watching others blow up. Reminded me of watching for tornadoes. Must be an Oklahoma thing.
