How God Used MinistryCOM
Two years ago I went to my first communications conference. I had just been asked by my pastor to begin overseeing all the external communication of the church. I said sure and then began my search to figure out what and how I was going to do my new assignment.
I found a conference to attend, enlisted our one and only Eric Granata, and off we went to sunny Arizona for MinistryCOM. What a great conference! I got to meet some of the best in the communication field. Made some new friends. And I began to figure out what I was supposed to be doing in my new role.
I had no idea until we arrived in Arizona that the whole conference was organized and conducted by someone from Edmond, OK, where I live. What a crazy deal. So I immediately went and introduced myself, I’ve never been very shy, to Terrell Sanders (aka Mr. MinistryCOM) and said, “When this is over and we get back home, I’d like to take you out to eat and pick your brain.”
Two years later and now I’m the Pastor of Communications/Innovations at Henderson Hills. I have someĀ great new friends: Terrell, Terry, Chris, Cory, Kem, Mark B., and so many more. (Terrell and others still let me pick their brains)
So…if you’re new to the Communications world, want to get inspired, learn more about Communication, or just need to get connected with some of the best in the business…you’ve got to come to MinistryCOM. Click on the link to the left to find out all the info.
Who knows who you might meet and what may happen to you in the next 2 years.

MinistryCOM was great that year and I have no doubt it will be this year as well. The workshops are great but the relationships built there are invaluable.
Jeff, if you’re going to eat Terrell’s brain, you could at least have a little respect and not pick at it.

Hey, how come you never pay* when we eat? Sheesh, Terrell has all the luck!
*Note: The above snark was for comedic effect. Jeff actually pays when we eat. True ministry marketing coaches don’t pay for their meals.
