1 Year of Social Networking

If I’ve heard it once, I’ve heard it a million times, “Why don’t they just talk to one another in person, or give them a phone call?” So many people don’t understand today’s new culture. Honestly…I’m still trying my best to understand it all.
Social networking has dramatically changed my world in the last year. Here’s [...]

Toys and Marketing

Back in 1952 the first toy was marketed on television. Anyone know what toy it was? Here’s a hint: “It’s still around today!” Answer: Mr. Potato Head
Marketing toys became very popular and highly effective after children watched a certain TV show. Any guess as to what show it was? Answer: Captain Kangaroo
Last question…
What was one [...]

Worst storm in OG&E’s history

KWTV News 9 in OKC just reported that the Ice Storm of 2007 is the worst storm OG&E has faced in it’s history. WOW, that’s hard to imagine! There are still 506,000 people without power in Oklahoma.
We were without power from 11:30am until 9:30pm. My mother, grandmother, many friends, church members, and staff members are [...]

Ice Storm Photos

It’s 32.7 degrees outside. I know that because of my outdoor thermometer.
It also has a rain gauge. But…it doesn’t work very well with freezing rain.

This is a photo of my back yard.

We’ve decided to go to the mall.

Oklahoma on Ice!

We’re having a major ice storm here in Oklahoma. Over 150,000 people are without electricity. It’s not over yet! It’s raining again right now and the weatherman said it’s the hardest rain we’ve had during the entire storm.  They are projecting another 1/2 inch of ice accumulation.
Our offices are closed. All programs/activities at the church [...]

Flickr & Picnik now live!

I wrote about this a couple of months ago and now it is live. Flickr is a great way to store and also share your photos online. You can make them public for all to see or set limitations for only family and friends.
One drawback to Flickr has been that it only allowed you to post photos. [...]

Sorry I’ve been so negligent

The last month has really been crazy. Here’s just a short list of what has been happening in my life:

Josh, my oldest son, proposed to his girlfriend. He did it like no one I know. We had a surprise party for them at the end of the evening. To see photos of the party go [...]
